Welcome to Buyouts, a PEI Group publication
Buyouts magazine launched in 1988 with the primary objective of providing in-depth private capital coverage. It soon became a prominent source of comprehensive fund news, personality profiles, industry trend analysis, and a wealth of proprietary private equity data. Due to its readership growth and distinction within the private capital market, Thomson Reuters purchased Buyouts to be part of the Thomson Financial portfolio.
During this time, Buyouts expanded its coverage to include the Canadian private equity market, launched its real-time digital news website, and grew its content archive to over 50,000 articles. In 2014, Buyouts joined sister publications VCJ and PE Hub under the PE Hub Network umbrella to provide its readership the utmost comprehensive alternative investment coverage.
With subscriptions and e-newsletter readership growing to an all-time high, PEI Media Group acquired Buyouts in April 2019 to add to their globally renowned collection of alternative investment publications.
Today, Buyouts is well-established as the leading authority in U.S. mid-market private equity industry intelligence, data and trend analysis. Buyouts is home to an extraordinarily talented group of journalists and researchers who, with sources deeply rooted in the private equity market, provide exclusive insight on fundraising, capital sources, LP allocation strategies, investment performance and LP/GP profiles. Buyouts also houses a database featuring U.S.-based GPs, U.S.-interested LPs and intermediaries.
