Abingworth appts venture partner

UK headquartered biotech VC Abingworth has named Dr Vincent Miles as venture partner. He will be based at the company’s offices in Waltham, MA, US. His responsibilities will include evaluating new investment opportunities and supporting portfolio companies on the East Coast.

Miles has more than 25 years of management experience in the biotechnology industry, most recently as senior vice president of business development of the Abingworth portfolio company, Alnylam Pharmaceuticals.
